Access electronic resources off-campus
The majority of AUD Library databases and electronic resources are available while you are off-campus. You can access them by entering your username and password (same as the ones you use for your AUD Blackboard account).
Create Personal Accounts for access off-campus
You will always be prompted for your AUD credentials when you are off-campus but some resources will require that you create a personal account in addition to this and in order to access resources off-campus. Please be sure to create these accounts while you are on-campus.
Resources that require an additional personal account include: ArtStor, O'Reilly Safari eBooks, The New York Times, PressReader and EBSCO eBooks.
Download e-books on your iPad, smart phone, tablet or computer and read offline
To read an eBook offline you will need to install the required software on your PC, tablet/iPad, or smart phone.
- Install Adobe Digital Editions on your PC, Mac, or laptop
- Install the Bluefire Reader app on your Android phone, tablet or Apple device (iPhone & iPad)
- Search for the title you want to read and follow the steps provided by the database to download the book.
- You will receive notification of the period of loan for your eBook. The downloaded eBook will disappear from you device after the loan period expires.
