The ministry strives to preserve and promote the emirate’s rich cultural and historic heritage. By sharing Abu Dhabi’s unique legacy through a wide-ranging programme of cultural events, exhibitions, and museums, we aim to present the emirate as an international cultural destination.

The Authority enables and develops the cultural and creative sectors in the emirate as the custodian entity, based on its cultural responsibility towards Dubai and to help define it in both a local and global context.

The department focuses on the cultural and media aspects of the emirate of Sharjah. It has expanded the responsibilities and roles by setting fundamental and determined goals, which are achieved through annual cultural programmes

Fujairah Culture and Media Authority was founded with the aim of raising the level of performance and effectively contributing to achieving an exceptional civilized cultural and media life in Fujairah.

The Arabian Gulf Digital Archive (“AGDA”) is an online archive that has been created to showcase historical and cultural material that tells the story of the rich, intriguing, and complex history of the Arabian Gulf. AGDA contains, among other things, letters, memos, transcripts, photos, and official correspondence from leaders and governments that shaped the events of their time.

Heart of Sharjah Project seeks to restore the traditional heritage areas of Sharjah and link them together, promote and revitalize the heritage district as a vibrant cultural destination by unraveling a glorious past - restoring historical buildings, constructing new structures following traditional Sharjah architecture and transforming them into hotels, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and markets, where the current generations and the future generations can experience Sharjah's cultural and social fabric.
