Mendeley Reference Manager: Step-by-Step User Guide

A. Download Mendeley Reference Manager (Desktop App)

• Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/reference-management/reference-manager/
• Click Download Now
• Install the software and sign in with your Mendeley account

B. Install Mendeley Web Importer (Browser Tool)

• Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/reference-management/web-importer
• Click “Install Browser Extension” (available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
• Once installed, you’ll see a small Mendeley icon in your browser toolbar

C. Install Mendeley Cite (Microsoft Word Add-In)

• Open Microsoft Word
• Go to Insert > Get Add-ins
• Search for Mendeley Cite
• Click Add and sign in with your Mendeley account

This plugin lets you insert citations and build bibliographies inside Word.
