How to Create Durable Links to Online Resources?

  • In most cases, you cannot simply cut and paste the URL for an article or other item from a library database or Search All
  • To ensure that links work:
  1. Place the AUD proxy prefix at the beginning of the URL
  2. Then add the link to the e-resources item (article, book, video...)
  • If you are linking to articles in open-access journals or to freely available web content, you do not need to add the proxy prefix.
