DVDs, Movies, and Documentaries

At the AUD Library, the collection of DVDs, movies, and documentaries is located inside the Printing Room. They are arranged alphabetically (A–Z).

Check-In Procedure

When checking in DVDs:

  1. Open the case and confirm that the correct CD/DVD is inside.

  2. Inspect the disc to ensure it is in good condition (no major scratches or cracks).

  3. After verification:

    • Return the disc to the appropriate location.

Key Reminders

  • Always check for the presence and condition of the disc before completing check-in.

  • Report any missing or damaged discs to the supervisor immediately.

  • Keep discs organized in the drawers in alphabetical order to make retrieval quick and efficient.

Library Equipment Loans

The AUD Library provides the following items for student use:

Loan Policy

  • All items are available at the Information Desk.

  • Items may be borrowed for LIBRARY USE only.

  • Students are responsible for returning items on time and in good condition.

Key Reminders for Student Assistants

  • Verify the item is working before lending.

  • Record the transaction in the circulation system.

  • Remind students of the policy.

  • Inspect the item upon return for damage or missing parts.

How to use the Smart TVs

How to connect from Mac to TV?

  • Ensure that your Mac and your TV are connected to the same WiFi.
  • Click Control Centre from the menu bar on the upper right.
  • Click "Screen Mirroring".
  • Then, select the Apple TV or the name of your TV from the device list.
  • If prompted, enter the code on your Mac to verify.
  • Then you can view the Mac screen on your TV

 


How to connect from iPhones/iPads to TV?

  • On your iPhone or iPad, open "Control Center". You can swipe up from the bottom of the screen (for iPhones with the Home button) or from the upper right (for iPhones with FaceID and iPads).
  • Tap the "Screen Mirroring" toggle in the Control Center.
  • Select your iPhone or iPad from the device list.
  • If prompted, enter the passcode on your iOS device.
  • After a few seconds, your iPhone or iPad content will be wirelessly streamed to your computer.

How to connect from Windows to TV?

  • Ensure that your Windows laptop and your TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
  • On the keyboard Click the Windows icon + letter K
  • Then, select the name of your TV from the device list.
  • Click again the Windows icon + letter K
  • If prompted, enter the code shown on the TV screen on your laptop to connect.
  • Then you can view the Windows screen on the TV.

 

                                                      

How to connect from Android phones/tablets to the TV?

  • Ensure that your Android phones/tablets and your TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
  • On the phone menu, click the Screencast icon.
  • Then, select the name of your TV from the device list.
  • If prompted, enter the code shown on the TV screen on your device to connect.
  • Then you can view the Android phones/tablets on the TV.
