Summer 1 - 2022
The Writing Center can help you with your papers:
Request feedback or a live session by email. If you need help with a specific assignment, make sure to send a copy of your assignment along with your draft so that tutors can better assist you.
Email: ghammill@aud.edu
At the Writing Center you can receive free tutoring on reading or writing assignments for any of your courses or for any of your writing pursuits. Our tutors are all AUD English professors. They can help you at any stage of the writing process from brainstorming for a topic, to creating a thesis statement, organizing your paper, editing your work, helping you to understand your instructor’s comments, etc. There are online and on-campus options.
You can also access it from Microsoft Teams, which you can download as a mobile or desktop app. Download Microsoft Teams here.
Delivered Virtually on TEAMS and ON CAMPUS in C418 is now open
We are happy to announce that the Writing Center is now open this semester via Teams (see the link below) as well as on campus once campus learning resumes to assist students with any writing or reading project. All tutoring sessions are conducted by qualified English faculty. While tutors do not provide editing or proofreading services, they will help students with issues such as how to develop a thesis, how to most effectively organize a paper, how to integrate supporting evidence and avoid plagiarism, how to recognize and solve grammatical and ESL errors, and how to make the most of the writing process.
