MobilizationSince its inception, Mobilization: An International Quarterly has been the leading journal of research specializing in social movements, protests, insurgencies, revolutions, and other forms of contentious politics. Mobilization was first published in 1996 to fill the need for a periodical scholarly review of research that focused exclusively on social movements, protest and collective action. Mobilization is fully peer-reviewed, broadly indexed, widely cited, selective, and highly ranked. Researchers can be certain that an article published in Mobilization will be extensively read and frequently cited. Today, it is a quadrant-one journal with a rank of 144 of 1137 sociology and political science journals (SJR citation index, 1.117). Mobilization is published four times a year, in March, June, September, and December. The editorial board is composed of thirty internationally recognized scholars from political science, sociology and social psychology.
