Academic Support: SoAS Advising

Office of Student Retention and Success

Information

Hi. On this page you will find advising and registration resources for the School of Arts and Sciences - that is any student enrolled for a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies or Psychology. Use these to plan your courses until graduation. If you download files, print them out, write on them etc. and have questions you can always take a picture and email that to me if you want.

*NOTE! If you see anything weird or that doesn't look right, please let me know. THESE ARE ONLY TOOLS, NOT OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS. OFFICIAL COURSE REQUIREMENTS ARE FOUND IN THE UNDERGRADUATE CATALOG.

Course Plans

Below you can download a blank course plan in PDF format.

This shows your approximate course sequencing to complete your degree. As you know, you have to complete all these classes, but not always in this order.

These are what I work with for your advising because they show the pre-requisites for each class.

You can use this with your Degree Audit on your student portal to fill in the SEMESTER (term) and GRADE for all the classes you have taken. (Let me know if you see any problems or have any questions! I am happy to go through it with you.) And then you can use it to plan your courses until graduation, by filling in the term when you think you will take each class that is left...

* Note that the final, official versions of course requirements and pre-requisites are in the Undergraduate Catalog!

Other Useful Documents

Grade Scale and Lists of Electives with pre-requisites. (These are the things that are hanging on my wall)

The info-graphic below is a nice summary of your Core Curriculum Electives etc.

* Note that the final, official versions of these are in the Undergraduate Catalog!
