Electronic Resources

Reading books off campus:

You can access electronic books while inside or outside the university; just make sure you login with the same username and password as your Blackboard and click on “Read Online” or “FullText PDF”.

Access databases off campus:

The majority of AUD Library Databases are also available while you are off campus. You can access them by entering your username and password (same as the ones you use for Blackboard).

Download e-books on your iPad, smart phone, tablet or computer and read offline:

To read an eBook offline, download it from either ProQuest or EBSCO eBook platform and  follow the steps below and install the required software on your PC, tablet/iPad, or smart phone:

  • Create an account for free. This is not necessarily an AUD account and can be any username and password you will remember in order to keep track of what you’ve been reading and also be able to download eBooks.
  • Install/download Adobe Digital Editions for your PC, Mac, or laptop. Also, download Bluefire Reader app from Google Play on your Android phone or tablet or from iTunes for an Apple device (iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad)
  • Sign in to EBSCO or ProQuest to search for the title you want to read and then click on “Download this eBook (Offline)” on EBSCO or “Full Download” on ProQuest.
  • You can read a ProQuest eBook for 14 days offline, and an EBSCO eBook for 21 days.
